Language & Literacy
Children will
learn to understand simple instructions
and words when used in context. They
will be introduced to common objects,
people and events to enhance their
vocabulary and knowledge. Languare
is taught through frequent interaction
with teacher and peers.
Stories, rhymes,
songs and music will be the mode of
learning where children learn language.
As our school
provides bilingual programme, Chinese
will be introduced to children too.
Visual card games and audio tapes
will be used for teaching children
Chinese.
External
therapist will be participating in
the Toddler Programme for children
who have delay in speech and language. |

Social / Adaptation
Children are
empowered with the autonomy to make
choices with the autonomy to make
choices during the learning centers
and active interactions between peers
and teachers. They will learn to express
feelings in words or gestures. Children
are encouraged to participate in group
routines to encourage modeling of
appropriate social behaviours in a
required setting.
Our school
nurtures the children in a warm and
loving environment where children
will form positive images of themselves
and others in order to build strong
blocks of human relationships. Self
help skills will be taught to the
children so that they are able to
perform daily routines independently.
Examples of the self help skills include
eating, dressing, grooming and toileting. |
4.
Fine & Gross Motor Skills
The children
develop their gross motor skills (locomotor
skills, non-locomotor skills) through
games, outdoor activities and gym
activities. There are water play,
sand play, multi-sensory balls, slides,
tricycles and many fun filled activities
that the children can work on during
the outdoor activities. There is also
a mini nursery for children to grow
their own fruits and vegetables.
Children will
enhance their fine motor skills and
eye hand co-ordination through activities
such as painting, threading, pegging
etc. Activities are carefully planned
to develop children's fine motor skills
such as tactile integration and manipulation,
grasping, releasing and bilateral
skills. Our school encourages children
to create models and artwork from
different textured materials. These
creative representations of the children's
works reflect the children's present
level of development.

5.
Music & Art Appreciation
Children will
be exposed to art and music appreciation.
This enables children to learn about
the arts as well as the different
cultures of the world.
Music &
movement will be a daily routine in
the programme. Children will learn
to express their emotions through
different musical instruments. Art
work of children will be displayed
giving each child a sense of pride
for creative works that they had accomplished.
Children are also encouraged to explore
different media to express their thoughts
and feelings. |
5.
Nature and Science Exploration
Children will
be introduced to the surrounding environment
in simple, fun and experiential ways
such as cookery sessions and explorations.
Nature awareness allows children to
use their senses to acquire knowledge.
We also recognize regular field trips
for children and parents. |
